A level results 2024

Dated: 15 August 2024

Woodhouse students are celebrating another set of amazing exam results this year with 240 of them getting at least three grade As in their A levels and more than 50 with three A*s. This year’s results are a further improvement on last year. With 79% of grades at A*-B we are anticipating a larger proportion than ever finding their ideal place at university. At least 28 students already have confirmed offers at Oxbridge universities and many more have medicine offers.

Principal Sugra Alibhai said: "A huge congratulations to our wonderful class of 2024. These are an excellent set of outcomes and are a testament to the hard work of all our students and staff over the last two years."

On results day we were able to welcome students on site to share their success stories and next steps.

Kareena My name is Kareena and I intend to embark on a Chemistry degree at the University of Bristol. I achieved A*A*A* in my A-Level’s that consisted of Mathematics, Chemistry and Economics, along with an A* in my EPQ. I am beyond delighted by these results and I look forward to seeing what the future holds! Woodhouse has been a fantastic experience from the nurturing, diverse learning environment that allowed me to flourish academically as well as grow as an individual. The support by teachers and students across the college and the wide variety of opportunities motivated me to thrive in every way possible which includes founding the first Science Newsletter. Woodhouse has been the best experience!!

Krishan, Karim, Sharujan, Luiz and Tiago Krishan, Karim, Sharujan, Luiz and Tiago (l-r) were also celebrating their excellent results. Krishan (left) is heading to Nottingham to study veterinary medicine, Tiago (right) is going to Imperial to read physics as is Sharujan (centre). Meanwhile, Luiz (2ndfrom right) is going to Cambridge to take economics. He said:

"Hi everyone, I’m Luiz and I’ll be off to Cambridge next month to read Economics after achieving A*A*A* in Economics, Maths and Further Maths.

My time at Woodhouse has been very rewarding. I will forever be grateful to my subject teachers who have provided me with an elite standard of teaching, which allowed me to realise my full academic potential.

Besides academics, the atmosphere at Woodhouse is very community-like, with lots of opportunities for people to socialise through student societies and events such as Woodfest. I personally enjoyed the sense of togetherness I experienced at Woodhouse and believe it was a large contributor to my academic success.

To any prospective Woodhouse students, I would highly recommend attending the college if you’re looking for good grades as well as a great time (I have not been in any way rewarded for saying this, I genuinely mean it)."

Nenya Nenya (left) also was in celebratory mood.

I'm really happy and relieved after the long wait as I'm going to Oxford to study Law!

My time at Woodhouse was nice and rewarding as it was a great environment where I learned a lot. A levels was a really tough and intellectually challenging experience, I was really pushed and supported by my teachers. Woodhouse was also great socially allowing me to develop my social skills and meet lots of smart, good people.
