Our partnership with the Longford Trust.

Dated: 19 July 2022

Woodhouse College is pleased to announce our partnership with the charity the Longford Trust.

The Longford Scholarship programme has supported 200 young people to rebuild their lives through education after serving a prison sentence. 85% go to university, graduate and move forward to have careers, to settle down, and to start families. In short, they do all the “normal” things that most take for granted.

As part of the 2022 Schools’ Partnership, Woodhouse College was visited on 16th June by two Longford Scholars Warren and Kyle accompanied Longford Trust director Peter Stanford and his team to discuss prison reform. Following the lively discussion, the Trust has invited Woodhouse students to create the programme for the Longford Lecture 2022 and attend the lecture in November.

We will keep be reporting more news and events from our partnership in the coming term.
